1969 Land Rover Series 2a

German first delivery Frame-off complete restoration / repair of a LAND ROVER 88 Series 2 at the highest level. The Series 2 was built from 1958 to 1961, the successor Series 2a, like this example, from October 1961 to the summer of 1971. The Series 2 a has been improved in many details. A 2.25 litre. Engine replaced the 2.0 litre. from, the steering was improved, differentials were reinforced, freewheel scars were available as an option, as well as a brake booster as an option. All of this is built into this Series 2a. This Series 2a was built as a left-hand drive in 1968, delivered to Rover Germany and registered as a government vehicle in February 1969. A copy of the vehicle letter certifies the registration of a private individual in Germany from 1989 to September 1995, until he was deregistered. In the last 2 years it was acquired as a restoration object and restored “frame-off” with great effort and the best specialist knowledge; the technology such as the engine, gearbox and differential were completely overhauled. Nothing on the outside or inside of the body was simply “painted over”, but rather dismantled, extensively repaired and repainted. The fit of the body and the closing of the doors are perfect. The window frame, the top bow and the bumper were newly galvanized. The result is a LAND ROVER 88 Series 2a in perfect condition, restored without compromise. So extremely rare and almost impossible to find on the market.
