A very rare XJ C with 4.2 ltr. cylinder and manual gearbox with overdrive -. For many car lovers the JAGUAR XJ C is the most beautiful 4 seater coupe in the world. Elegant sporty noble with perfect proportions. The missing B-pillar and the frameless windows give the JAGUAR an incomparable lightness when the side windows are open. The XJ C is the rarest of all XJ models built. Announced at the IAA in 1973, it went into series production from 1975 until 1977, just 2 years. The example available here was delivered new to France and imported 16 years ago in 2006 via Luxembourg to Saarbrücken, Germany. According to the TÜV documents, the vehicle was unrestored and in original used condition and had a KM reading of only 49,827 km. The first owner in Germany regularly serviced the vehicle, had the bodywork repaired and had it repainted in 2007. The second and last owner acquired the XJ C in 2012 and has had all the necessary work done in specialist workshops. Sufficient invoices are available. In April 2021, we acquired the vehicle from the last owner after a thorough examination of the technology and bodywork and partially restored it. The bodywork is the decisive factor in an XJ C . Due to the missing A-pillar between the side wall and the roof, the sill and the side wall from the doors onwards are the key points for a purchase decision. Usually, the body panels are corroded and repaired with a lot of filler and paint. On this XJ C everything was sound. The body was stripped of paint, demountable parts even in a dip bath, new floor panels and a few sheet metal parts were replaced. The underbody was blasted and the XJ C was repainted in British Racing Green. The interior was fitted with new carpets, the posters were just refurbished, they were too good in being replaced. The wooden dashboard was worked on by a professional and shines again in its old splendour. The technology was checked, repaired and the engine adjusted. The air conditioning, the overdrive, the 4 electric windows, everything works. Finally, we have fitted the beautiful contemporary Kent Alloy Wheels. A beautiful JAGUAR Coupe to enjoy and to travel in. With a 6-cylinder engine and manual gearbox. Lively and economical. Price excludes local taxes which may be applicable.
